Despite updated telemetry standards published in 2017 by the American Heart Association, there are still many aspects of telemetry that have not been addressed nor studied to truly determine what improves outcomes. In 2020, the Veterans Health Administration, representing the largest health care organization in the world, released a comprehensive guidebook for telemetry. This webinar will review the key content in this guidebook focusing on implementation of evidenced-based best practices.

Faculty Bio:
Ms. Church is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Program Manager for the Office of Nursing Services at the VA in Portland OR. She is the EHRM Acute Care Delivery Council Chair. Ms. Church has presented at numerous medical conferences focusing on cardiac monitoring, telemetry and informatics. Her current research interests include QA/QI EHRM Essential Clinical Dataset Value Realization. Recently, Ms. Church was awarded the Leadership Award in recognition of exceptional leadership and devoted service to the Acute Care Delivery to improve care to veterans by ACD Council.
